About Giant agave
Agave salmiana, commonly known as Maguey Verde, is a majestic agave species native to Mexico, renowned for its large size and thick, blue-green leaves arranged in an impressive rosette. It can reach several meters in height and width, making it a spectacular focal point in desert gardens or expansive, sunny landscapes. Its sculptural habit makes it ideal for low-maintenance gardens or as a specimen plant in large patios.

Care tips
This agave thrives in full sun and requires very well-draining soil, preferably sandy or gravelly, to prevent root rot. Once established, it is extremely drought-tolerant and needs very infrequent watering, only when the substrate is completely dry, especially in winter. Avoid overwatering, as it is the most common and fatal mistake for this species, and protect it from severe frosts if you live in a cold area.
