About Agave missionum
Agave missionum, also known as the Century Plant, is a majestic and slow-growing succulent renowned for its large rosettes of thick, rigid leaves that can reach several meters in diameter. Its imposing presence and distinctive blue-green color make it ideal as a focal plant in xeriscapes, rock gardens, or large pots on sunny patios. Despite its common name, it blooms and dies much sooner, typically between 10 and 30 years, producing an impressive flower stalk before completing its life cycle.

Care tips
This agave thrives in full sun and requires excellent drainage to prevent root rot. Water sparingly, only when the substrate is completely dry, especially during winter. Use a cactus and succulent mix or a sandy, well-aerated substrate. The most common mistake is overwatering, which is almost always fatal for this species.
