About Smooth agave
Agave vera-cruz, also known as pale agave or blue agave, is a medium to large perennial succulent, valued for its rosettes of broad, pale blue-green leaves that can develop reddish hues under stress. Its fleshy, spiny leaves form an impressive architectural silhouette, ideal for xeriscape gardens, rockeries, or as a focal plant in large containers.

It requires full sun for optimal growth and vibrant colors; it will tolerate partial shade, but the color may be less intense. Watering should be sparse, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, especially in winter to prevent root rot. Use a well-draining substrate, specifically for cacti and succulents. A common mistake is overwatering, which is the leading cause of death in agaves.
