About Spider plant
Chlorophytum krookianum, commonly known as the Hardy Spider Plant, is a robust species of Chlorophytum characterized by broader, fleshier leaves than its more common relative, Chlorophytum comosum. Its bright green, lance-shaped leaves emerge from a central rosette, forming a dense mound that can produce small plantlets at the ends of its flowering stalks. It's an excellent choice for shady gardens, hanging baskets, or as ground cover, adding an exotic and lush touch with its dense, arching foliage.

Care tips
This plant thrives in partial to full shade, avoiding intense direct sunlight which can scorch its leaves. It prefers well-draining, consistently moist but not waterlogged soil; water when the top inch of the substrate feels dry to the touch. It is surprisingly tolerant of light frosts once established, setting it apart from other Chlorophytum species. A common mistake is planting it in heavy soils that retain too much water, which can lead to root rot.
