Ophrys sphegodes, commonly known as the early spider-orchid, is a captivating terrestrial orchid native to Europe and North Africa. Its flowers, which mimic the appearance of female spiders, attract male pollinators through visual and olfactory deception. It is an ideal plant for specialized rock gardens or botanical collections of native orchids, where its uniqueness can be fully appreciated.
