It requires bright, indirect light; avoid direct sun exposure which can scorch its leaves. Water when the substrate is almost dry, allowing the roots to dry slightly between waterings to prevent rot. Use a well-aerated, fast-draining substrate, such as pine bark or good quality sphagnum moss. A common mistake to avoid is overwatering, which is the leading cause of death in Phalaenopsis orchids.
