Colchicum variegatum, also known as the Variegated Autumn Crocus, is a charming bulbous plant that blooms in autumn, producing cup-shaped flowers with a striking checkered pattern in shades of pink-purple and white. Its leaves emerge in spring, after the flowering period. It is ideal for rock gardens, path edges, or naturalized in lawns, where its late bloom provides an unexpected splash of color.
