About Persian iris
Iris persica, commonly known as the Persian Iris, is a charming small bulbous iris species native to the Middle East. Its flowers, appearing in late winter or early spring, showcase a unique combination of pale hues like greenish-blue, yellow, and creamy white, often with darker blotches and a yellow crest on the fall petals. Care tips
It requires full sun or light partial shade and well-drained soil, preferably sandy or gravelly, to prevent bulb rot. Water moderately during the growing and flowering period, but keep the soil quite dry during summer when the bulb is dormant. Ensure the substrate never retains excess water, as it is highly susceptible to rot in wet, stagnant conditions. Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can promote foliage growth at the expense of flowering.
