About Foxtail lily
Eremurus spectabilis, commonly known as Foxtail Lily or Çiriş, is a stunning ornamental plant featuring tall, dense spikes of bright yellow flowers that can reach up to 1.5 meters in height. Native to Central Asia, it's perfect for adding a dramatic and vertical accent to sunny flower beds or as a striking cut flower in large arrangements. Its basal foliage is linear and blue-green, complementing the majesty of its inflorescences.

Care tips
It thrives in full sun and requires very well-drained, sandy or slightly clayey soil, enriched with organic matter, as waterlogging is its main enemy. Water moderately during flowering and significantly reduce once the leaves begin to yellow, as it enters summer dormancy. A common mistake to avoid is overwatering during its dormant period, which can lead to the rotting of its fleshy roots. Protect young shoots from late frosts.
