About Red hot poker
Kniphofia coddiana, commonly known as Codds Poker, is a rhizomatous perennial herb native to South Africa, prized for its striking bright orange or reddish-orange floral spikes. These tubular inflorescences, resembling torches, emerge on tall, sturdy stems from a base of narrow, linear leaves. It is an excellent choice for rock gardens, sunny borders, or as a focal plant in flower beds due to its vertical appeal and prolonged summer blooming.

It requires full sun for optimal flowering and well-drained soil, preferably sandy or loamy-sandy, as waterlogging is its main enemy.
